Welcome to the ArugamBay Half Marathon website and event. By accessing or using arugambayhalfmarathon.com and participating in our race, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before registering.

1. Eligibility & Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old to enter the Half Marathon, or 12 years old for the 10K/5K Fun Run (with a guardian’s consent).
  • All participants must complete the online registration form and pay the applicable entry fee.
  • Registration is non‑transferable except as outlined in our Refund & Returns Policy.

2. Race Day Requirements

  • Participants must wear their assigned bib and timing chip visibly throughout the race.
  • No unauthorized shortcuts or route deviations are permitted; course marshals will enforce the official course.
  • Participants must follow all safety instructions from race officials and medical staff.
  • Headphones, animals, wheeled devices, and motor vehicles are not allowed on the course.

3. Entry Fees & Refunds

  • All fees are quoted in your selected currency at checkout and include timing, medal, and post‑race refreshments.
  • Refunds, deferrals, and transfers are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy.

4. Liability Waiver

By registering, you acknowledge and agree:

  • You are in good health and have trained sufficiently to complete the distance you select.
  • You assume all risks of participation, including but not limited to injury, illness, or death.
  • You release ArugamBay Half Marathon, its directors, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims or liability arising from your participation.

5. Medical & Emergency

  • Medical assistance will be available along the course and at the finish area.
  • By registering, you consent to receive medical treatment if deemed necessary by race medical personnel.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this site (text, images, logos) is the property of ArugamBay Half Marathon or its licensors.
  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

7. Photography & Media Release

By participating, you grant ArugamBay Half Marathon a royalty‑free license to use your name, image, and performance in photographs, video, or other media for promotional purposes worldwide.

8. Event Changes & Cancellation

  • We reserve the right to modify start times, course routes, or event schedules for safety, weather, or regulatory reasons.
  • In case of event cancellation (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions), our liability is limited to the terms stated in our Refund & Returns Policy.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to that policy.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
